Vermont State Police Log for Feb. 13

In the only news from the Vermont State Police barracks in New Haven last week, a trooper announced another in a series of citations issued for home improvement fraud.

A woman who drove off the road in Monkton, and hid in a nearby unoccupied vehicle when Vermont State Police showed up this past Friday evening, netted more than a half-dozen criminal citations.

A Vermont State Police trooper observed multiple motor vehicle violations on Stage Road near Route 7 in Ferrisburgh in the wee hours of Jan. 23, and pulled the car over at around 1:12 a.m.

Vermont State Police cited local men for drunken driving in two separate incidents in the past week — one in which the driver crashed his car.

Vermont State Police made a big push to discourage drunken driving during the waning days of 2024 and the first week of 2025, when troopers cited half a dozen people for driving under the influence, or DUI.

Vermont State Police are asking the public for help in finding the driver who struck a pedestrian in Ferrisburgh late last month.

Vermont State Police were joined by Middlebury police and deputies from the Addison County Sheriff’s Department this past Friday, Nov. 29, to run a drunken driving checkpoint on Route 30 in Cornwall for an hour in the evening.

Vermont State Police are looking for help from the public in finding out who attempted to break into three local businesses last week.
