Vermont State Police Log for Sept. 5

Vermont State Police received a report of an assault involving a gun in Granville on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 31. Troopers looked into it and determined that on Aug. 18, Hillary N. Barcomb, 45, of Roxbury had come to Buffalo Farm Road in Granville on Aug. 18 and assaulted Ronald E. Marsh of Granville.

Vermont State Police locally sorted out two multi-car crashes in which people were injured.

A two-car crash in Salisbury on Saturday afternoon tied up Route 7 traffic for a bit, but, fortunately, no one was injured.

Vermont State Police this week sorted out a case that started back in June and resulted in four serious charges against a Goshen woman.

During the last few days of July and the first few of August, Vermont State Police cited several local people for allegedly being involved in domestic violence incidents.

Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 17 around the intersection with Weybridge Road on June 7 at a little after 12:30 p.m. for speeding 35 mph over the limit — 85 in a 50 mph zone —  while showing signs of erratic driving. 

A Vergennes man was killed on Saturday evening when the ATV he was driving crashed in Panton.

Vermont State Police stopped a car on Route 7 near its intersection with River Road in New Haven on May 25 at around 11:15 a.m. The trooper noted the driver Nathan Redmond, 39, of Vergennes had a criminally suspended driver’s license.

Vermont State Police were involved with the investigation that this week led to charges against 83-year-old Wentworth C. Comes Jr. of Hancock.

Vermont State Police last Wednesday received multiple 911 calls reporting a crash in which a motorcycle struck a car on Route 7 in New Haven, knocking both vehicles off the road and severely injuring the cyclist.
