Vermont State Police Log for Oct. 24

In the past week, Vermont State police reported a burglary at a home in a state park and reported the stop of an impaired driver, who got citations for several alleged crimes.

Vermont State Police stopped a Shoreham man twice this past weekend for being somewhere he wasn’t supposed to be.

Vermont State Police on Monday afternoon arrested a man who they said broke into a Waltham home illegally.

In an otherwise quiet week for the Vermont State Police operating out of the New Haven barracks, troopers on Sept. 22, a little after 9 a.m., started getting 911 calls from Cyrus Bedard, 34, of Salisbury.

A Leicester man is still battling for his health after being struck by a car while walking along Lake Dunmore Road in Leicester two weeks ago.

The most significant case that local troopers at the New Haven barracks of the Vermont State Police dealt with in the past week was the crash of a small airplane in Ferrisburgh on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Vermont State Police locally sorted out two multi-car crashes in which people were injured.

A two-car crash in Salisbury on Saturday afternoon tied up Route 7 traffic for a bit, but, fortunately, no one was injured.

Vermont State Police this week sorted out a case that started back in June and resulted in four serious charges against a Goshen woman.

During the last few days of July and the first few of August, Vermont State Police cited several local people for allegedly being involved in domestic violence incidents.

Twice in one day last week, Vermont State Police were called to Cornwall to deal with a man who apparently endangering drivers on Route 30 near Swamp Road.

Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 17 around the intersection with Weybridge Road on June 7 at a little after 12:30 p.m. for speeding 35 mph over the limit — 85 in a 50 mph zone —  while showing signs of erratic driving.
