Boys’ soccer players honored

Seven local high school boys’ soccer players were named to the Division II or III All-State Teams, and another 23 earned recognition from either the Lake Division or the Southern Vermont League B Division.

The Middlebury College women’s hockey outplayed and outshot visiting Plattsburgh in Sunday’s final of the Panther-Cardinal Classic. Nevertheless, the Cardinals went home the winners.

Men’s soccer bows out of NCAA tournament

The Middlebury College men’s soccer team bowed out of the NCAA Division III tournament on Sunday, when host Amherst edged the Panthers, 1-0, in a quarterfinal matchup.
