Middlebury Police Log: New Haven man cited for DUI

Middlebury police cited Rodrigo Cardosodelima, 44, of New Haven for driving under the influence (second offense), following a 12:33 a.m. traffic stop on North Pleasant Street on Nov. 30. 

Middlebury police cited Samantha Selby, 35, of Middlebury for embezzlement and possession of cocaine after investigating a Nov. 24 report from the Subway restaurant on Court Street about a worker allegedly stealing money and merchandise.

The woman who was critically injured in a Nov. 14 house fire at 46 Washington St. has died from her injuries, according to Middlebury police.

Middlebury police cited Matthew Johnson, 50, of Middlebury for simple assault, following an investigation of an alleged incident at a Route 7 South business on Nov. 6.

Middlebury police assisted Porter Hospital staff when they conducted a lockdown at around 12:50 a.m. on Nov. 2, in response to a threatening phone call the hospital had received. Police said the threats didn’t materialize into an incident.

Middlebury police on Oct. 22 responded to Walgreens Pharmacy on Court Street Extension on a report about an armed man who had just left the premises and had allegedly threatened to return and shoot everyone at the store. Police investigated the incident, … (read more)

Middlebury police this past week responded to several complaints about encampments on Bakery Lane and beyond.

Middlebury police received a report about the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash from Danforth Pewter on Seymour Street on Oct. 5. Police believe the theft occurred while the business was closed.

Middlebury police on Tuesday, Sept. 24, arrested the same man on three separate occasions for offenses ranging from disorderly conduct to retail theft.

Middlebury police cited Thomas J. George, 29, of Middlebury for animal cruelty and disorderly conduct, following an investigation in the College Street area on Sept. 20. George is alleged to have kicked a dog.

Middlebury police cited Anthony Daisey Jr., 34, of Alburgh for retail theft from Hannaford Supermarket and TJ Maxx, providing false information to police, and possession of cocaine following an investigation in the Court Street area on Sept. 6.

Middlebury police were part of a large contingent of area law enforcement to respond to Porter Medical Center campus at around 8 p.m. on this past Friday, Aug. 30, after a report of a disorderly man with a firearm in the hospital parking lot.

Middlebury police on Aug. 23 cited Timothy E. Edwards Jr. for aggravated assault and domestic assault, following an investigation near the intersection of Bakery Lane and Cross Street.

Middlebury police took two drunken people into protective custody following their investigation of a property-related dispute on Mill Street on Aug. 12 at around 4:45 p.m.
