Whiskey maker brews up bottling plan

WhistlePig Whiskey this fall is scheduled to fire up its new bottling operation in the former Otter Creek Brewing headquarters at 373 Exchange St., a Middlebury property the nationally renowned rye whiskey maker acquired last year for $1.6 million.

It’s fair to say that Treeline Terrains has deep roots in Addison County. 

Pete Brooks, 35, Andrew Gates, 39, and Riker Wikoff, 33, who together founded Brandon’s Red Clover Ale Co., are about to make their 250th batch of beer. 

Tracy Van Hoven has been hired as the new sales and marketing director at Middlebury’s Residence at Otter Creek, a senior community owned and operated by LCB Senior Living.

Chelsea Griggs and one of her daughters were enjoying a smoothie at downtown Middlebury’s Juice Amour one day last year when they noticed a for sale/for lease sign in the window of the (now-former) Main Street Stationery storefront at 40 Main St.

The pub on Exchange Street will close after this last weekend of selling brews.

Bee’s Wrap, the Middlebury maker of reusable, all-natural food storage wraps, has a new CEO. Brendan Taylor joined the firm, which has a manufacturing facility on Exchange Street, as its chief executive officer in September.

The store’s roots actually extend deeper than the Tombs; it began in 1975 as Middlebury Office Supply in the basement of what is now the Town Hall Theater building on Merchants Row.
