VUHS track third in D-II; Fearon, Hurley run to gold

The Vergennes Union High School boys ran to victory in two events and took second in two more to finish third as a team in Division II at Saturday’s indoor track and field state championship meet at the University of Vermont.

Athletes from Vergennes and Mount Abraham union high schools combined to win five Division II events on Sunday at an indoor track and field meet run at the University of Vermont.

Panther athletes found a measure of success at NCAA D-III meet in Alabama this weekend.

Local teams competed in the Vermont state meet in Burlington this past Saturday, with several athletes qualifying for the New England championships.

Indoor track and field teams from Vergennes and Mount Abraham union high schools once again posted solid results at a meet hosted by the University of Vermont on Saturday. 

Indoor track and field athletes from Mount Abraham and Vergennes union high schools saw positive results at their first meet of the season, held this past Saturday at the University of Vermont. 

At the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 11 and 12, a Middlebury College relay team and a Mount Abraham Union High School grad now competing for Bowdoin College all earned All-American honors.

Four members of the Vergennes Union High School indoor track and field team on Monday saw their first action of the winter — and first indoor competition since 2020 — at the University of Vermont.
