MAV girls’ lacrosse thumps Harwood

The Mount Abraham-Vergennes girls’ lacrosse team breezed past host Harwood on Tuesday, 16-4, as the Commodores moved their record back to .500 at 3-3.

In a Monday rematch of the 2022 Division II girls’ lacrosse state final, defending champion Hartford pulled away in the second half to defeat the host Mount Abraham-Vergennes cooperative team, 13-4, in a rain-drenched affair. 

Nobody on the Division III Mount Abraham-Vergennes cooperative boys’ lacrosse team or coaching staff was too unhappy after a 13-10 home loss to Harwood on Tuesday afternoon. 

The Mount Abraham Union High School softball team flexed its muscles on Tuesday, when the Eagles rolled to a 12-0, five-inning victory over local rival Otter Valley in the opener for both teams.

The sports spring of 2022 could be a tough act to follow at Mount Abraham Union High School over the next couple of months.
