MAV boys’ lacrosse falls to Hartford

HARTFORD — Division II title contender Hartford breezed past the D-II Mount Abraham-Vergennes boys’ lacrosse team on Monday, 18-3, dropping the Eagles’ record to 3-2. 

Joseph Barwood led the Hurricanes with eight goals and an assist, reaching 200 points for his career. 

Henry Anderson scored twice for the Eagles, and Jonah Howell added the other goal. MAV goalie Walker Forand made five saves.

MAV will look to bounce back on Saturday at 3 p.m., when the Eagles host Montpelier in a rematch of the 2022 D-III championship game won by the Solons.
