Eagle baseball No. 1 in D-II; girls’ lax teams No. 2 and No. 3

Three local high school teams earned top 3 seeds for this week’s playoffs.

Mt. Abe and VUHS athletes competed at Milton and Champlain Valley Union this past week.

MUHS defeated Spaulding, 24-16, and VUHS lost to Richford, 23-11.

The D-II Mount Abe-Vergennes team overcame the D-I Comets 7-4 to open the season.

The MUHS girls’ and boys’ hockey teams, and the VUHS boys’ basketball team, exited state tournaments in the semifinal rounds.

Vergennes Union High School has released its honor roll for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
