MAV girls’ lacrosse thumps Harwood

SOUTH DUXBURY — The Mount Abraham-Vergennes girls’ lacrosse team breezed past host Harwood on Tuesday, 16-4, as the Commodores moved their record back to .500 at 3-3.

Annie Dufault led the attack with eight goals and two assists, and Reese Gernander tossed in five goals. Adding a goal apiece were Cassandra Guillmette (two assists), Nell Harvey (assist) and Liana Gay. MAV goalie Carley Cook made eight saves.

Harwood’s Lindsey Boyden scored twice, and Highlander goalie Abi Leighty made 15 saves.
