Lincoln news for Oct. 5

In collaboration with the Lincoln Historical Society, the library will be hosting an afternoon of Memories of the Lincoln General Store on Monday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m.

Vaneasa and Dan Stearns’ recent retirement from the Lincoln General Store inspired the Lincoln Historical Society, in collaboration with the Lincoln Library, to focus its current exhibit on the history of the General Store.

With the fall season upon us, it’s that time of year when we do some purging of clothes, household items and toys that we would like to pass along to someone else.

Caitlin Canty is an American singer/songwriter whose music carves a line through folk, blues, and country ballads.

Take a trip to Marijke’s Perennial Gardens with the Lincoln Library on Monday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. Marijke Niles, owner and creator of the gardens will conduct a tour of some of her more than 40 gardens on her property.

The Lincoln Library presents “The Robinson Family Through Their Objects,” an evening with Lindsay Varner on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m.

A Hawaiian-themed senior lunch will be held at Burnham Hall on Thursday, Sept. 21. Be sure to wear some bright colors and your best Hawaiian shirts.

It’s the start of another school year and with that comes a friendly reminder to please pay extra attention to students walking and biking to and from school.

As the first day of school approaches, Lincoln School District officials are looking forward to the supervisory district’s inaugural year. 

The town of Lincoln is looking to hire its first town administrator, as well as fill an administrative assistant position that would support the new role.

Do you have hobbies or skills you would like to share with children through a workshop? The Lincoln Community School’s afterschool program, Creative Spark, is looking for volunteers or paid workshop leaders to run ongoing activities throughout the year.
