ADDISON COUNTY — Vergennes topped rival Mount Abraham to highlight local girls’ high school basketball action in the past week. In other games, Mount Abe won on the road, Middlebury lost on the road, and Otter Valley dropped a pair of contests to tough competition. This was the first week of winter sports in Vermont.
