MUHS boys’ tennis drops two

The Middlebury Union High School boys’ tennis team dropped its first two matches, both on the road, to Champlain Valley on April 10, 5-2, and to Stowe on Monday, also by 5-2.

The Middlebury Indoor Tennis Community Team (MITC) on Saturday edged the Middlebury Union High School boys’ tennis team in the third annual dual between the community and Tiger squads.

The Tigers won 6 out of 7 matches when they hosted the Wolves of South Burlington on Friday. The next match in the playoffs is Monday afternoon in Middlebury.

The Middlebury Union High School girls’ tennis team earned the No. 4 seed in Division II, and in a quarterfinal home match on Tuesday the No. 5 seed Rice (8-7) knocked off the Tigers, 6-1.
