A light week brings a win for MAV boys’ lax

The Commodores, Eagles and Tigers were up against dozens of teams at South Burlington’s Twilight Invitational on Saturday, May 2.

The two teams meet again on May 12 in Vergennes. 

The Tigers are 1-1 so far this season.

Middlebury will host the remainder of the tournament games.

The Eagles and Tigers have yet to take a loss as the season just gets into swing.

In what was their second game of the season, the Eagles beat the Cougars 14-11.

Milton beat the combined team from Mount Abraham and Vergennes union high schools 9-2 on Friday, April 24.

Undefeated, or near undefeated seasons, are commonplace for the Middlebury College program.

A Virginia-based company plans to ask the PUC this year for permission to build its infrastructure.

The teams are just two to start their spring seasons with wins.

The Tigers topped the Hilltoppers 10-8.
