Eagle girls’ soccer knocks off Commodores

The MAUHS girls’ soccer team beat previously undefeated VUHS, 3-2.

The Mount Abraham boys’ soccer team beat Winooski, 4-0, to secure the Lake Division championship.

The Middlebury, Mount Abraham and Vergennes boys’ high school soccer teams all picked up at least one victory in the past week.

Mount Abraham topped Middlebury in Bristol to highlight local high school boys’ soccer action in the past week.

After falling behind in the first half, the Commodores rallied to defeat Hazen, 2-1.

Even with injured or absent players, the Mount Abe boys’ soccer team defeated Vergennes, 3-0, on Tuesday.

The Vergennes Union High School girls’ soccer team rolled to a big win this past week, defeating visiting Oxbow, 8-1.

The MAUHS girls’ soccer team scored four goals in the first 20 minutes of Friday’s game, ultimately beating MUHS 5-0.

The three county girls’ soccer teams all won at least once in the past week.

In boys’ soccer action in the past week, Middlebury Union High School broke into the win column in a big way, and Mount Abraham settle for a home deadlock.
