Letter to the editor: Mount Abe girls’ soccer deserved more coverage

I am really sorry to be writing this. This is not something that I typically do, but I am disappointed, and I will continue to be until I get this off my chest.

Boys chosen as soccer all-stars

Thirteen members of the Lake Division champion Middlebury Union High School boys’ soccer team received postseason recognition from the six-team league, as did nine players apiece from second-place Vergennes and fourth-place Mount Abraham.

Eagle girls’ soccer made deep run in postseason

Middlebury men’s soccer nipped in first round of tournament

Rowan University defeated the Middlebury College men’s soccer team, 3-2, in a first-round NCAA Division III game on the campus of Stevens Institute on Saturday. Rowan improved to 12-5-5, and the Panthers dropped to 10-5-3.

Only Eagle girls’ soccer advances

In local high school girls’ soccer play, only No. 11 Mount Abraham in Division II advanced in the postseason on Tuesday, when No. 10 Otter Valley and No. 12 Middlebury fell in D-II, and No. 14 Vergennes saw its season end in D-III.

MUHS, VUHS boys settle for draw
