As a collegiate swimmer, my body is not designed for exercise on dry land. Doing strenuous activity while supporting my own body weight? The MUHS girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams finished 3rd and 5th, respectively, in the D-II Cross Country Championships in Thetford on Saturday. Estella Laird was the top female in all divisions.

Burr & Burton took 1st place in both boys’ and girls’ races on Sept. 20 at the Middlebury Invitational cross country meet, but the host Tigers were 2nd.

Baxter Harrington has left the Green Mountain running trails in Ripton to compete in Italy’s rugged Apennine Mountains in the Youth Skyrunning World Championships.
