North Branch School holds discussion on fostering hope

The school will host “Fostering Resilience and Hope in our Children Today,” Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m., at the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Middlebury.

The Addison Central School District board has scheduled three public hearings in advance of its scheduled Nov. 24 vote on whether to initiate a formal closing process for Ripton Elementary School.

The ACSD board will vote on whether to initiate an official closure for RES. If successful, that process would allow the town to buy back the building for $1.

The Nov. 2 talk will be delivered by Mitchell Pearl, a lay leader of the Havurah of Addison County for over 20 years.

North Branch School students and alumnae created a wooden sculpture honoring former student Makalu Bagnulo, who passed away from brain cancer earlier this year.
