Panther nine takes 1 in 3

The Middlebury College baseball team lost two out of three recent games over the past week, including a split of two games with NESCAC foe Amherst. The Panthers dropped to 10-9.

An outstanding Middlebury College women’s hockey team played NESCAC rival Amherst to a scoreless tie for two periods before the Mammoths earned a 3-1 win at a Friday game in Wisconsin.

The Middlebury College men’s lacrosse team rolled to a pair of wins in the past week and evened its record at 4-4 against what has been a tough early schedule. The Panthers are ranked No. 15 in NCAA Division III.

The No. 4 Middlebury College women’s hockey hosted No. 12 Nazareth in an NCAA quarter-final on Saturday. After beating the Golden Flyers, the Panthers will face NECAC nemesis Amherst in an NCAA semi-final this weekend.
