Middlebury Police Log: East Midd playground vandalized

Middlebury police responded to a report on June 15 of someone having sprayed-painted graffiti on the East Middlebury playground off Schoolhouse Hill Road.

Middlebury police cited Timothy Farr, 69, of Middlebury for unlawful trespass and for violating court-mandated conditions for his release, following an investigation in the Court Street area on June 9. 

Middlebury police on Friday, June 2, stopped a vehicle driven on John Graham Court by Peter Leary, 51, of St. Albans at a few minutes before 8 p.m. Police cited Leary for driving under the influence.

Middlebury police cited Stephen M. Belanger, 29, of Middlebury for driving under the influence, following a two-vehicle crash, with a serious injury resulting, at the intersection of Court Street and Middle Road north, at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May … (read more)

Middlebury police on Tuesday, May 16, cited a local young adult with multiple assault-related charges following an incident at Porter Hospital. 

Middlebury police assisted a juvenile who had been experiencing a mental health crisis on Court Street on May 11. 

Middlebury police cited Matthew Hall, 45, of Middlebury for disorderly conduct, assault on a law enforcement officer and criminal threatening, following an incident on Bakery Lane at around 8:21 p.m. on Friday, May 5. 

Middlebury police received a complaint about a man who had been seen throwing trash out of his third-story apartment window on Court Street on April 29. 

Middlebury police cited Gordon B. McDonough of Middlebury for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 7 South at around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. 

Middlebury police on April 5 cited a man for disorderly conduct after responding to a request from Porter Hospital to remove a man who had allegedly been experiencing a mental health crisis.

Middlebury police cited Kenneth Gilbert, III, 47, of Middlebury for aggravated assault and unlawful trespass, following an incident at a North Pleasant Street home shortly before 5 a.m. on March 27.

Middlebury police cited Jacob Burmania, 28, of Middlebury for burglary, possession of burglar’s tools and unlawful mischief, after investigating an attempted burglary at the Taste of India Restaurant off Bakery Lane on March 22.

After responding to a March 17 report of a domestic disturbance on Valley View Drive, Middlebury police arrested a Middlebury man and filed multiple charges against him following an alleged assault. 

Middlebury police arrested Thomas E. Hynes, 37, of Middlebury on multiple in-state arrest warrants, following an investigation in the Jayne Court neighborhood on March 11. 

Middlebury police last week cited Corrin Malinowski, 27, of Middlebury for cocaine possession and impeding a public officers.
