Middlebury Police Log: EMS come to aid of Midd resident

Middlebury police assisted Middlebury Regional EMS officials with an unresponsive patient on Danyow Drive on Feb. 16.

Middlebury police cited Felecia L. Betourney, 29, of Leicester for driving under the influence, following a traffic stop on Route 7 South on Feb. 9.

Middlebury police cited Charles J. Ouellette, 31, of Middlebury for driving under the influence, following a stop on North Branch Road on Jan. 31.

Middlebury police on Jan. 23 began investigating a report of some juvenile Middlebury Union High School students making a recording of themselves having sex and then sharing that recording via social media.

Middlebury police arrested two former employees of the Subway Restaurant on Court Street after investigating a burglary report at that location on Jan. 15.

Middlebury police on Jan. 11 looked into an apparent shooting behind the Hannaford Supermarket late that Saturday morning, but found that no one was injured and investigation continues.

Middlebury police responded, with Middlebury Regional EMS, to a Jan. 4 report of a suicidal woman in the Bakery Lane area who also needed to be evaluated for frostbite symptoms in wake of cold weather exposure.

Middlebury police cited Jared Burlingame, 27, of Colchester for driving under the influence following their investigation of a single-vehicle accident in the Court Square area on Dec. 27.

Middlebury police and other area emergency responders on Saturday, Dec. 21, converged on a swampy area off Shard Villa Road  in Salisbury to rescue four people who had become submerged in the frigid waters.

Middlebury police cited Alycin Smith, 24, of Rutland for retail theft, following an alleged incident at a Court Street location on Dec. 2.

Middlebury police cited Rodrigo Cardosodelima, 44, of New Haven for driving under the influence (second offense), following a 12:33 a.m. traffic stop on North Pleasant Street on Nov. 30. 

Middlebury police cited Samantha Selby, 35, of Middlebury for embezzlement and possession of cocaine after investigating a Nov. 24 report from the Subway restaurant on Court Street about a worker allegedly stealing money and merchandise.

The woman who was critically injured in a Nov. 14 house fire at 46 Washington St. has died from her injuries, according to Middlebury police.

Middlebury police cited Matthew Johnson, 50, of Middlebury for simple assault, following an investigation of an alleged incident at a Route 7 South business on Nov. 6.

Middlebury police assisted Porter Hospital staff when they conducted a lockdown at around 12:50 a.m. on Nov. 2, in response to a threatening phone call the hospital had received. Police said the threats didn’t materialize into an incident.
