A police officer assisted Porter staff with a male with homicidal ideas; the Counseling Service of Addison County checked him out.

Middlebury police were informed at 4:10 a.m. this past Sunday, March 22, of a burglary at the Champlain Farms store on Court Street.

Middlebury police launched an investigation into a March 10 burglary at the Maplefields store on Route 7 South, during which the culprit(s) broke into the building at around 2:45 a.m. and removed an ATM machine.

In other action last week, Middlebury police responded to the report of an unresponsive woman at a Jackson Lane address on March 3. Police said the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Middlebury police cited Brittney Brooks, 32, of Bristol for driving under the influence of drugs, following a traffic stop on Route 7 South on Feb. 27. Police said Brooks submitted to an evidentiary blood sample, the results of which are pending.

Middlebury police arrested Dylan T. Harris, 34, of Middlebury on an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence – his fourth offense.

Middlebury police responded to a report of a potentially suicidal man sitting on the edge of the Cross Street Bridge during the late afternoon of Feb. 12.

Middlebury police cited Drew T. Raymond, 19, of East Middlebury for possession of a stolen vehicle and for possession of a regulated drug,

Middlebury police cited Eric M. Sumner, 20, for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Officers cited Kori M. Martell, 34, of Vergennes for violating his court-ordered curfew and restrictions on contact with juveniles under 13 years old.

Middlebury police deployed drones and Middlebury police K-9 Guinnessto the Mary Hogan Drive area on Jan. 15 to search for a suicidal teen who was ultimately found by her mom.

Middlebury police cited Anthony Morocho, 22, of Elmhurst, N.Y., for driving under the influence near the intersection of College and Weybridge streets on Jan. 8.
