Ferrisburgh takes over home next to town hall

The property next to the Ferrisburgh Town Hall is now under the town’s control.

Ferrisburgh homeowners are seeing a small drop in property tax rates this fiscal year, but non-residential owners are seeing an increase.

The Ferrisburgh Historical Society is hosting a cruise aboard Basin Harbor’s tour boat.

For more than 25 years, the North American Steamboat Association (NASBA) has been gathering in Otter Creek for their annual steamboat meet-up in Vergennes, with River’s Edge in Ferrisburgh as their elected homebase.

Among property sales in Ferrisburgh of note are building lots, a major farm sale, a number of homes and commercial properties changing hands along Route 7, and a half-dozen lakefront property sales.

Vermont State Police and a variety of local emergency responders mobilized earlier this week for separate reports of swimmers in distress in Bristol and Ferrisburgh, with both cases sadly resulting in deaths.
