Bristol residents cited in Addison road rage incident

ADDISON — Vermont State Police cited a Bristol resident for reckless endangerment and aggravated assault for allegedly waving a pistol and threatening the occupants of a vehicle, including children, on the evening of Aug. 18 in Addison.
Vergennes police originally responded to the incident on Route 17 East and took statements from the occupants of the vehicle allegedly threatened by Dylan Devoid, 25, of Bristol.
The occupants of the vehicle told city police that the man, later alleged by VSP to be Devoid, first tailgated their vehicle, then passed it, stopped in front of it, got out and pulled out the pistol and issued the threats, and then left the scene.
State police after an investigation they identified the man as Devoid and brought him to their New Haven barracks on Monday, Aug. 24, and cited him for aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.
During that process, VSP also allege that Jessica Martell, 24, of Bristol “intentionally hindered the arrest” of Devoid, and VSP cited her for that offense.
State police declined to name the victims in the case.
