Vermont State Police Log: Rainstorm exacerbates cruiser crash

ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police last week responded to a traffic accident in which a Bristol police cruiser went off the road during a rainstorm. On June 10 at a few minutes before midnight, Bristol Police Officer Armin Nukic was on duty and driving northbound on Silver Street in Monkton during a period of heavy rain and flooding roadways. Vermont State Police late last week cited a Whiting man for an alleged sexual assault earlier in the month.

A Hinesburg man and an Essex woman allegedly kidnapped a woman from a Starksboro residence the preceding Saturday.

State police on Thursday arrested a Hinesburg man and Essex woman after they allegedly assaulted the Route 116 resident.

A two-vehicle crash on Route 22A just north of Town Line Road in Addison on April 15 netted a drugged driving charge for a Vergennes driver.

David K. Ricklefs, 53, lost control of the Subaru Impreza he was driving on Morgan Horse Farm Road and hit a tree.

This past Sunday, April 7, Vermont State Police responded to a disturbance on States Prison Hollow Road in Starksboro at around 9:20 a.m. Trooper investigated and said they determined that Chase Gibbs-Emilo, 25, of Starksboro assaulted a family member. 

A construction site flagger was hospitalized after he was hit by a truck driven by a Middlebury man on Route 125 in Bridport on Thursday.

Vermont State Police are investigating the death of 44-year-old Stephen Nuciolo Sr. in Bridport on Wednesday.

The Addison County State’s Attorney was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence Thursday after she showed up at the scene of a suspicious death in Bridport.

Tyler A. Brouillard, 25, sustained fatal injuries when he was thrown from the car he was driving on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.
