MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Jacob Burmania, 28, of Middlebury for criminal threatening, on Merchants Row on April 17. Police said Burmania was slated to answer to the charges in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, on April 24.

Earlier that day, police said they cited Burmania for unlawful trespassing, after he had allegedly gone onto a South Pleasant Street property from which he had been barred.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

• Investigated a potential road rage incident on Weybridge Street on April 17.

• Received a report about an allegedly suspicious incident involving a man and three children at the intersection of Academy and South Main streets on April 17.

• Were informed on April 17 that someone had stolen a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the Pond Lane area.

• Worked with Counseling Service of Addison County staff to calm a distraught person in the Academy Street area on April 17.

• Cited Jacob Vicenzi, 30, and Gerhardt Daden, 42, both of Middlebury, for disorderly conduct, following an alleged incident in the Jayne Court neighborhood on April 17.

• Investigated a family dispute at a Jayne Court home on April 18. Police said they arranged for one of the parties to retrieve their property from the home.

• Cited Timothy Farr, 69, of Middlebury for violating his conditions of release in the Court Street area on April 18.

• Responded to a trespassing complaint on Middlebury College campus on April 18.

• Launched an investigation into an alleged assault at Porter Medical Center on April 18. Police allege a person had grabbed and injured a relative’s arm.

• Helped Addison Central School District officials evict a person from one of its buildings on April 18.

• Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS (MREMS) with a drunken woman on Water Street on April 19. Police said the woman was taken to Porter Hospital.

• Helped a houseless person get shelter for the night on April 19.

• Reunited a stray dog with its local owner on April 20.

• Took a local woman on April 20 to Porter Hospital to receive aid for a mental health crisis.

• Investigated a two-vehicle crash with a minor injury on Washington Street on April 20.

• Assisted Middlebury Union Middle School staff with an upset student on April 20.

• Assisted Vermont State Police at the scene of a crash with injuries near the intersection of Cram and Swinington Hill roads in Leicester on April 20.

• Investigated an April 21 report of a potentially intoxicated person walking near the intersection of Route 125 and Cider Mill Road.

• Interviewed a Water Street resident who reported a blackmail scam on April 21.

• Assisted a Court Street resident who had been experiencing a mental health crisis on April 21.

• Received a report that someone had stolen cash from a man’s wallet in the Exchange Street area on April 22.

• Responded to a family argument at Butternut Ridge Drive home on April 22.

• Responded to a report of an unresponsive man in a vehicle parked at a Court Street filling station on April 22.

• Received a complaint about loud music being played at 15 Court St. on April 22.

• Cautioned a person who was walking in the rain on an unlit stretch of Route 7 South at around 11:30 p.m. on April 23.

• Assisted MREMS on a medical call in East Middlebury on April 23.

• Responded with MREMS to a reported of an unresponsive elderly woman in the East Middlebury area on April 23. Police said Evelyn Johnson, 85, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said an investigation confirmed she died of natural causes.
