Albert J. Quesnel, 95, of Weybridge

ALBERT J. QUESNEL
WEYBRIDGE — Albert J. Quesnel, 95, of Weybridge, Vt., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sept. 17, 2024. He was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Hawkesbury Ontario, to Ernest and Catherine (Lalonde) Quesnel. Albert was known as a hard worker, and for his strong-willed nature.
Throughout his life, Albert was devoted to his career as a farmer at Monument Farms where he dedicated many years.
Albert found joy in his hobbies, which included gardening, watching and listening to the birds, and tending to his animals (chickens, bunnies, and sheep). In his later years, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and he had a unique hobby of tearing newspapers, which brought him simple pleasure.
He was a regular attendee of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, where he found a community of faith and fellowship.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn (James) Quesnel; daughters Tammy Quesnel (John), Yvonne Devoid (Clyde), and Michelle Quesnel; grandchildren, Josh Kennett (Lyndsie), Ashley Parker (Josh), Cody (Jyssica), Fabian, Dustin Choquette, Thomas, Adrain Crain; and four great-grandchildren, Harmonee & Waylen Kennett, Carson Parker, Tamara Choquette; and his sister Alice Pilon and extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Terry Quesnel; his parents; and seven siblings.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday Sept. 23, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 117 South Main St. Middlebury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday Sept. 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Middlebury with the Rev. Brandon Schneider as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Mary’s Church at 326 College St. Middlebury, Vt., or to Addison County Home Health and Hospice at P.O. Box 754, Middlebury, Vt., 05753.
Albert’s life was marked by his unwavering strength and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
