EDWARD LAWRENCE HUTCHINS

BRANDON — Edward Lawrence Hutchins, of Brandon, VT, passed away at his home July 18, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born March 10, 1962, to Lawrence “Larry” and Jane Hutchins.

Edward had a passion for mechanics and proudly owned and operated Hutchins Auto in the early 2000s. Outside of the garage, he enjoyed watching WWE, classic Westerns, and older television shows and movies. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures and was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.

Although Edward wasn’t a man of many words, those who knew him understood the depth of his love. His legacy lives on through the family he was so proud of and the memories they will carry with them always.

Edward was predeceased by his mother, Jane Hutchins. He is survived by his father, Larry (Evie) Hutchins of Forestdale, Vt.; his sister, Elizabeth “Rose” Hutchins of Pittsford, Vt.; his children, Carson Hutchins of Middlebury, Vt., Jasmine (Ben) Eagan of Duxbury, Vt., Kyle (Charlene) Hutchins of Mont Alto, Pa., Rachel (Jen) Hutchins of Middlebury, Vt., Renee (Arvin) Sandy of New Haven, Vt., and Nathan Dearing of Chelsea, Vt.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Azalea, Kyler, McKenah, Amelia, Elliot, Barrett, Bentley, Creed, and Sebastian, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

Edward was a devoted father and a proud family man. He treasured spending time with his family, and while he loved all his children dearly, his youngest son, Carson, held a special place in his heart. His love for his family was evident in the pride he had for each of them.

A celebration of Edward’s life will be held Aug. 23from 1-3 p.m. at Brandon American Legion. ◊
