Middlebury church to host conference on climate change

MIDDLEBURY — The Congregational Church of Middlebury will host Vermont Interfaith Power and Light’s annual conference on Saturday, Oct. 26. 
Titled “Envisioning & Acting for the World We Want,” the conference will feature keynote speakers Rev. Jim Antal, denominational leader and climate activist, and Professor Molly Anderson, Food Studies Professor at Middlebury College. 
The conference will include workshops on Green New Deal advocacy, sustainable food systems, Vermont’s new water legislation, advocacy for effective climate legislation and “Heart Change” for Climate Action. A catered lunch, music, sponsors’ exhibits, a book table and more will also be part of the conference. Details and registration are available at Vermont Interfaith Power and Light at VTIPL.org.
