Planned Rt. 7 roundabout gains momentum

MIDDLEBURY TOWN OFFICIALS have endorsed a Vermont Agency of Transportation plan to add a roundabout on Route 7 at Exchange Street to improve safety and reduce wait times for drivers entering the highway. Such an improvement is at least two or three years away.

A single-lane roundabout that would serve the intersection of Route 7, Exchange Street and Happy Valley Road just north of Middlebury village is looking more likely.
