BRISTOL — Sunny F. Sumner, 85, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.
He was born January 28, 1934, in Bristol the son of Berley and Anna (Hallock) Sumner.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching New York Yankees and New York Giants Games on TV as well as golf.
Sunny is survived by his wife Marion; five children, Michael, Sandy, Jerry, Frank and Brian; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; his brother Philip and wife Lucille Sumner; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five sisters, Barbara, Beatrice, Marjorie, Katherine and Betty; four brothers, Stanley, Tex, Stuart and Tracy; a grandson Billy; and a niece Crystal Lee Sumner.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at Victory Baptist Church, 862 Route 7, Vergennes. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, Vergennes, VT. To send online condolences visit brownmcclayfuneralhomes.com. ◊
