MIDDLEBURY — The past eight years have been somewhat of a rollercoaster ride for Connor Homes, a Middlebury-based builder of historic reproduction “kit” homes.
MIDDLEBURY — Vermont Adult Learning in Middlebury has a new center coordinator. Joseph Przyperhart joined the team on June 9, and hopes to help Middlebury VAL increase its presence in the community.
Przyperhart replaced retiring Joe LaRosa, who was the head of Middlebury VAL for two and a half years.
MIDDLEBURY — This past Wednesday, a series of upgrade and maintenance projects were accomplished at the Middlebury Recreation Park, with a helping hand from 40 Middlebury College football players.
According to Middlebury Parks and Recreation Department Director Terri Arnold, the 40 players were on hand for a couple hours and completed many tasks that had been prepped by town employees Yvon Pouliot and Dustin Hunt.
ALBURGH — Sometimes, even as she looks around her house at all the plaques and trophies and medals she’s earned, Barbara Boyer still can’t believe what she’s accomplished.
Boyer, of Alburgh, in May became the first woman inducted into the New England Local Weightlifting Committee Hall of Fame. With her membership already in the National Masters and the World Masters halls of fame, it’s her third induction. And she did it all after the age of 58, in the past dozen years.
VERMONT — Applications are available for controlled waterfowl hunting permits to be used at two Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department wildlife management areas.
The applications may be downloaded from Fish & Wildlife’s website (www.vtfishandwildlife), and printed applications will be available at Vermont Fish & Wildlife offices in Montpelier, Essex Junction, Addison, Barre, St. Johnsbury, Springfield and Rutland.
