Elderly Services netted big savings for itself and the environment with energy upgrades

Elderly Services Inc. earlier this fall was honored by Efficiency Vermont for the forward-thinking upgrades to its headquarters building in Middlebury.

As temperatures drop, Button Up Vermont partners are urging homeowners and renters to prepare their homes for colder temperatures.

A Vermont non-profit organization called ReSOURCE, which has offices in Burlington, Barre and Hyde Park, is bringing its six-week, hands-on “Weatherization 101” training to Middlebury this summer. This six-week training starts July 1.

A new program announced last week will add to a suite of incentives available to Vermonters who want to weatherproof their homes. 

The annual Button Up Vermont campaign works each fall to raise awareness of the need to weatherize and helps connect Vermonters with tools and resources to save.
