Kids, community, competition, kindness and homemade chili were as plentiful as the fall foliage at this year’s Ripton Ridge Run, which took place Oct. 8.
This year will be the 36th time that the Ripton Ridge Run will be held. This year’s race is on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 12:30 p.m., and, as always, includes a 5K run, a 10.4K run (clockwise this year), and a non-competitive 5K Fun Walk.
More than 125 participants came from all over Addison County, Vermont and New England for the race that began and ended at Ripton Elementary School on Oct. 9.
The Ripton Ridge Run, celebrating its 35th year, will take place on Sunday, Oct. 9, beginning with registration at 11 a.m., at Ripton Elementary School.
A few runners opted for the virtual race, but well over 100 participants came out to enjoy one of two race courses and a to-go lunch of homemade chili, cornbread, and a cookie.
Runners and walkers from throughout the region are invited to beautiful Ripton, Vt., for a 5K/10K run or 5K fun walk.
