Vekos to begin as state’s attorney Dec. 5

It looks like Addison County State’s Attorney-elect Eva Vekos will begin her job before the traditional starting date of Feb. 1.

We value the commitment that Peter Bevere has exhibited in his career.

For the past 16 years as a prosecutor, Peter has worked to ensure that our most vulnerable community members are protected.

The Addison County Democratic Committee has forwarded three names to Gov. Phil Scott to consider as he prepares to appoint a new state’s attorney to replace Dennis Wygmans, who held that job until May 7.
