Letter to the editor: U.S. should help negotiate cease-fire in Ukraine

I am very concerned that the United States is engaged in the deadly game of upping the ante.

I am a Quaker and have been led to write to our community regarding the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant located in southeastern Ukraine.

As a world we need to find another way to respond to war. How do we become part of a solution for ending the war in Ukraine?

Every evening, I light a candle that is standing in a protected lantern. I place the lantern on our front porch. I offer this light to send healing, soothing thoughts to all those in mourning.
