Come to the Monkton Town Hall Community Room on Monday, May 19, at 7 p.m., for the Monkton Museum and Historical Society’s annual business membership meeting. Members will also be able to join via Zoom. The MM&HS will review its by-laws and welcome anyone interested in becoming a member. Yearly membership remains $10 per member, per year.

Highlighting Town Meeting Day voting in Monkton are races for three seats on the town’s selectboard, which have opened up after a few longtime members decided to step down from their posts.

Paul W. Sherman, 87, of Monkton passed away on Feb. 2, 2025, at the McClure Miller Respite House. He was born May 29, 1937, in Granville, N.Y. In 1954 and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and began a career in engineering.
