Five nuns walk onto a stage… They sing, they dance, it’s “Nunsense!” See the Middlebury Community Players production at Town Hall Theater beginning April 24.

The mile-a-minute “Moon Over Buffalo” concerns an all-in-the-family acting troupe led by two aging blowhards, George and Charlotte, played to great antic effect by Carl Engvall and Suzanna Miller.

The Middlebury Community Players will hold open auditions for “Morning’s at Seven,” a comedy by Paul Osborn, on Nov. 18, at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury, and on Nov. 20, at Middlebury Fitness in Middlebury.

The Middlebury Community Players will present the offbeat romantic comedy “First Night” at the Vergennes Opera House next weekend, July 11-14. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday performance is a 2 p.m. matinee.

“Love/Sick,” performed on the Vergennes Opera House stage by the Middlebury Community Players this past weekend, is a whimsical, dark and romantic play. It wants its audience to live, laugh and love the reality of relationships. 

Three directors, nine vignettes, and a cast of talented actors will bring acclaimed playwright John Cariani’s poignant and witty play “Love/Sick” to life June 20-23, at Vergennes Opera House.
