Panther women’s lax claims NCAA crown

The Middlebury College women’s field hockey team started fast, finished strong, and saw junior attacker Jane Earley pour in six goals as the Panthers defeated Tufts, 13-5, in Sunday’s NCAA Division III championship game in Salem.

The Middlebury Union High School boys’ lacrosse team had good moments vs. visiting Champlain Valley this past Friday, but the Redhawks used a 4-0 fourth-quarter run to break open a tight game and claim a 12-7 victory.
