MUHS girls’ hockey nets two wins

The Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team picked up two big wins on the road late last week and carried a 2-0-1 record into a scheduled Monday game at Stowe that was played after the early holiday deadline for this edition.

The Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey team dropped its opener on this past Saturday night, 2-0, to host St. Johnsbury.

Tiger girls’ hockey ties defending champ, 5-5

In the season opener, MUHS Coach PJ Lalonde was happy with the Tigers’ efforts against Hartford, a program that had defeated MUHS , 4-1, in the playoffs this past winter.

Panther women’s hockey tops Utica

The Middlebury College women’s hockey team wrapped up its first-semester play on Dec. 4 with a 2-1 victory over visiting Utica. 

Men’s hockey loses two games

The Middlebury College men’s hockey team dropped two NESCAC road games this past weekend to conclude its first semester of play at 4-4. The Panthers have won all four of their home games, but dropped all four of their road games. 

Panther men’s hockey wins Northern Shootout

The Middlebury College men’s hockey team hosted and won the LayerEight Great Northern Shootout this past weekend, defeating rival Norwich in Saturday’s final, 2-0.

Middlebury women’s hockey hits 7-0

The Middlebury College men’s ice hockey team swept two visiting NESCAC foes this past weekend, topping Colby, 3-1, on Saturday after besting Bowdoin, 5-0, on Friday in the Panthers’ season opener.

Boys’ hockey ousted in OT

Top-seeded Colchester on Wednesday night, Feb. 28, ended the No. 8 seeded Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey season in dramatic fashion, 4-3 in a Division II quarterfinal’s second overtime period. 

Girls’ hockey reaches semifinal

The No. 6 seeded Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team won its opening quarterfinal Division II playoff game last week, but came up short in the semifinal round. The Tigers finished their season at 10-12.
