Ralph Myhre hosts seniors golf tournament

Middlebury’s Ralph Myhre Golf Course on Aug. 9 hosted golfers from around the state for the 2022 J. E. Simpson Team Championship.

Paul Fine-Lease and Nick Arnold were medalists in the Ralph Myhre Golf Course 2022 Dud Phinney Member Guest tournament, which was played at the Middlebury course on July 29-31.

Ralph Myhre Golf Course members on July 19 competed and fared well at two Vermont State Women’s Golf Association “State Days,” one at the Rutland Country Club and one at the Essex Country Club.

Ralph Myhre Golf Course member Steve Huestis earlier in July scored a hole-in-one. Huestis accomplished the rare feat on Hole No. 12.

The duo of Susan Smith and Gina Buggy were the low gross winners on July 9, when the Ralph Myhre Golf Course hosted its 40th Annual Women’s Invitational Tournament.

Ralph Myhre Golf Course’s Lucas Politano won the New England Junior PGA Championship on June 28 and 29 at the Shaker Hills Country Club in Harvard, Mass.

The OV boys’ golf team dominated the field at the Manchester Country Club on Thursday to win the Division II championship by a 22-stroke margin.

The Otter Valley Union High School boys’ golf team was edged by Woodstock for the Southern Vermont Conference Championship, 176-180.
