Junior Fishing Derby starts this weekend

VERGENNES — This year the annual Vergennes Junior Fishing Derby, which seeks to introduce young people to the benefits and enjoyment of fishing and to encourage them to share the sport with others, is going virtual. The event will begin on Saturday, June 26, and end Sunday, July 11.Participants will have the opportunity to go fishing during those two weeks and submit a photo of their fish for a chance to win an award.
