MUHS anglers third in state

The Middlebury Union High School bass fishing team finished third at Saturday’s VPA Bass Fishing Championship off Grand Isle.

Andrew Oestringer set an unofficial record with a 7 lb, 6 oz bass. James Lenox, 14, pulled in the third-heaviest largemouth bass catch this year. 

Mount Abraham Union High School sophomores and twins Hailey and Isayah Isham on Saturday became the 2024 Vermont High School Bass Fishing Champions. They became the seventh titlists in one of the newest official Vermont Principals’ Association sports.
