AS HE NEARS the top of the Appalachian Gap in Starksboro during Saturday’s Vermont Gran Fondo bike ride, Brian McInnis is so excited that he pops a wheelie. The owner of a bike shop in Medford, Mass., McInnis biked over four Green Mountain gaps during eight and a half rain-filled hours. He said he had a lovely time.
