Jul 3, 2024 | Photos of the Week

INTREPID CYCLISTS ON their own or in small groups braved the rain and sometimes chilly temps on Saturday to ride in the 10th Vermont Gran Fondo. With a start and finish in Bristol, several hundred riders climbed up and over as many as six mountain gaps and covered up to 145 miles. Independent photo/Steve James

AS HE NEARS the top of the Appalachian Gap in Starksboro during Saturday’s Vermont Gran Fondo bike ride, Brian McInnis is so excited that he pops a wheelie. The owner of a bike shop in Medford, Mass., McInnis biked over four Green Mountain gaps during eight and a half rain-filled hours. He said he had a lovely time. Independent photo/Steve James
