A group of Middlebury College students put up a Gaza Solidarity Encampment on McCullough Lawn Sunday morning to show solidarity with people in Palestine. Like students at many American institutions of higher education, the Middlebury students want their college to divest of investments that support Israel as it holds Palestinians under siege in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military launched the siege after Hamas launched attacks on Israel this past Oct. 7.
