Here’s how the local teams did this week and what they have coming up.

Wrestlers from MUHS, VUHS and Mt. Abe were all victorious at tournaments on Saturday.

The Middlebury College women’s basketball team lost to Bates on Sunday after falling 16 points behind in the first seven minutes of the game.

The Tigers brought their record to 7-5-1 with two recent wins.

“I no longer sit courtside. I have learned over the years that it is useful to me not to sit too close to the action. I take these steps to avoid disgrace. But it can be a struggle.”

The Tigers fell to North Country and Champlain Valley this past week.

The Vergennes and Middlebury girls’ basketball teams dominated in recent games.

Local wrestlers represented Vermont at tournaments in New Hampshire and Massachusetts last weekend.

In recent high school boys’ basketball action, the Commodores and Tigers each added three wins to their records, and Mt. Abe added two, only falling to Vergennes. 

Personal successes were on tap for local gymnasts this past week.
