Monkton news for Sept. 2

MONKTON — The Monkton Friends Methodist Church is in transition with the arrival of a new minister, Pastor Len Rowell. He is making a fresh investment in serving the community, a renewed commitment to our fall youth program, and even a new starting time for Sunday morning services, beginning Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.
The church is a group of people from different walks of life who gather for worship, ministry from the Scriptures, spirit-filled music in a variety of styles, and fellowship. This is a community church.
Whether long-standing or new residents, all are welcome. Regardless of background, religious or non-religious, you are welcome.
Within the doors of this church, it is promised that you will find open minds, open hearts and open hands. The youth program will be based on a program called Maker Fun Factory and will have snacks, music, crafts, bible stories, mission projects centered around the five themes of the program plus Christmas and Easter plays.
