Tiger boys’ hockey stems the Tide
MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey picked up a key Division I victory on Friday, 2-0 over visiting Spaulding. The Tigers’ third straight win pushed their record to 8-5. They are in a tight race with Spaulding (7-4-1) and Stowe (7-5) for the Nos. 4-6 seeds in Division I.
MUHS plays at Rice on Wednesday and hosts Champlain Valley at 7 p.m. on Friday.
On this past Friday the Tigers took the lead in the first period on an Owen Lawton goal assisted by Daniel Hodsden and Andy Giorgio.
Ryan Nadeau netted the pad goal in the second period’s first minute, with an assist from Jordan Martin.
Spaulding goalie Kyle May made 34 saves, while Tiger goalie Zeke Hooper worked a 22-save shutout.
