Tiger volleyball wins state championship rematch

MUHS defeated Enosburg 3-2 on Monday night.

Mt. Abe won two and MUHS took one.

The team is 2-3 after starting the season with three losses.

The Eagles are 2-0 and the Tigers are 1-1. Both have games on tap this coming weekend.

The Mt. Abe stickers’ first games of the season have been against teams in higher divisions.

The two top local finishers this week were a sophomore and freshman.

Both MUHS and Mt. Abe have each only taken one loss so far this season.

Mt. Abe has yet to lose this season.

MUHS had yet to lose a game as the Tiger 11 headed into a game on Wednesday night against a Mt. Abe team still in search of its first season win.

It only took one early goal for the Commodores to take down MUHS.

There were multiple local matches this past week.

The two local teams were due to play each other in Middlebury on Friday.

The defending state champion MUHS team is on a double-digit winning streak that continues from last year.

There are plenty of games lined up the next few days.

This year’s theme was “How can we be instruments of peace?”
