Letter to the editor: Ripton man mounts write-in campaign in Addison-2

I am announcing as a write-in candidate for the Addison-2 District House seat. This includes the towns of Ripton, Cornwall, Salisbury, Leicester, Goshen and Hancock. If you are a registered voter in any of these towns, please write me in on the ballot for Addison-2 District representative in the Vermont House. The principal reason I am doing this is to give the people in the towns of Ripton, Cornwall and Salisbury and the three other towns an additional voice in protesting the bad legislation that is Act 46 and the roll-out of that law in the Addison Central Supervisory District. The ACSD School Board has begun a consolidation process that, like a runaway locomotive, could crush four of our small-town schools if it is not stopped. I hope you will take this opportunity to write in “Millard Cox” on the ballot. This will send a message to the ACSD Board and to Montpelier that we want to keep our small schools open!
Millard Cox
Ripton
