Middlebury Police Log: Police seek owners of lost bikes

MIDDLEBURY POLICE LAST week put its first hybrid police cruiser into action. Chief Tom Hanley said it had taken awhile, but he was glad to have the vehicle in service. The town selectboard has approved the purchase of a second hybrid police cruiser, which Hanley said is on order.

MIDDLEBURY — Have you lost a bike or had one stolen during the past several months? The Middlebury Police Department is currently holding a number of recovered bicycles, the owners of which are unknown.
There will be a public viewing of these bikes on Wednesday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Middlebury PD off Seymour Street. Anyone who has had a bicycle lost or stolen is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
All unclaimed bicycles will be donated to the Middlebury Bike Swap to benefit Midd Safe Routes.
If you have any questions, please contact Officer Sousa at 388-3191 or [email protected].
